What are some of the other requirements?
District Educational Development Plan (EDP). A EDP is a yearly plan based on several factors. In 2009, Michigan mandated that all students in Grades 7–12 have EDPs. EDPs are updated yearly as student interests and abilities become more obvious and focused.
Students are required to participate in an EDP with guidance from school advisors.
State Testing. Full-Time Students will be required to take the grade level appropriate tests mandated by the State of Michigan. Locations will most likely be at Cros-Lex Schools. We are pursuing off-site options using a VPN.
State "Count" Day. Correspondence by email with date and time stamps can used to prove participation in an enrolled program. Two-way District correspondence 4 weeks in the fall and 4 weeks in the winter via email maybe reviewed by district staff.
Weekly Quizzes & Communication with instructors. Student(s) will take quizzes in at least 3 subjects per week via the program's designated Learning Management System (LMS). Students are also expected to keep in weekly contact with teachers.
Immunization Records. Students will need to provide a record of immunizations or immunization waiver must be recorded and on file with the district.
