Hello Senior Parents!  The message below was sent to all seniors yesterday from Mrs. Paradoski:

Attached is a list of scholarship opportunities currently available to you.  You can access them by the links provided in the attachment.  Many of the local community scholarships are due in the guidance office by March 11th, and I have received very few applications.  Paper copies are available in the guidance office for some of the scholarships.

Scholarships Due in the Guidance Office by March 11th

 - Croswell American Legion Auxiliary

 - Croswell Fire Department

 - Croswell Masonic Lodge

 - Gielow Pickles

 - Jeddo Lions

 - Lexington Fire Department

 - Lexington Lions

 - Sanilac County Sport Fishing & Hunting

 - Thomas Regan Memorial

 - Zachary Lanctot Memorial

The deadline for scholarship applications for SC4 is March 13th.  In order to apply for their scholarships, remember that you must have your application submitted as you need your SC4 student email address to initiate the scholarship application process.

In addition, the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) oversees many scholarships that are offered by individuals or organizations within our community.  If you would like to apply and be considered for the scholarships being handled through the Community Foundation, you must follow their online application process which I started with you in October.  All scholarships offered through the SCCF are due April 1st.  The Community Foundation application requires you to upload your college acceptance letter, transcript, and page one of your Student Aid Report (FAFSA).  Some may require you to upload a letter of recommendation(s).  If you have not yet obtained your letter(s) of recommendation, you should be asking for them right away.  Those writing letters of recommendation for you need a minimum of one week to compose a quality letter for you.

Please keep in mind that there are thousands of scholarship opportunities and we are only made aware of a handful.  As we are made aware of scholarships, they will be added to this list and you will receive the updated list via email.  You can visit MI Student Aid to access links to scholarships that we shared with you in the fall. There are thousands of dollars to be given away.  Please do not procrastinate; that is not when you do your best work.  The applications are not difficult but do take considerable time to complete.  I have uploaded your most recent transcript to your skyward portfolio (filename: 2021/22 Mid-Year Transcript with Test Scores).  If you click on the file name it will open as a PDF that you can save to your desktop.
