'Coffee with the Superintendent' is back!
Join Superintendent Colette Moody on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Media Center for a cup of coffee and learn more about happenings within the school district. Kyle Wood, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Human Resources will also be sharing updates. We want to share, listen, and connect with families and the community. We hope to see you there.

Today was a great day for our 2nd grade kiddos to take a community walk. They learned all about what the amazing Village of Lexington has to offer. 💙

Meyer Families: We can’t wait to see all of our students on the first day of school tomorrow, Monday, 8/28! Just a reminder, parent drop off is on the north side of the building in the parking lot off Boynton between 8:15 A.M. and 8:25 A.M. Families can pull up to the cafeteria doors or pull into a parking space in the back and walk up to the doors. Whether driving or walking up, please be careful in the parking lot! Staff members will be there to welcome our students and to take them to their classrooms. See you tomorrow!

Congratulations to our 2023 Outstanding Educator of the Year Cros-Lex Middle School teacher Heather Shanks!! Thank you to Kent and Linda France for sponsoring this award.

Meyer Family Open House Reminder: Families and students in Grades K-4 are welcome to attend the Meyer Open House tomorrow, 8/22, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Pioneer Families, GREAT news! ALL Cros-Lex students will receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch at NO COST for the 2023-2024 school year! We are pleased to announce that Croswell-Lexington Schools will be participating in the federal program Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) available to select schools as a part of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
In place of the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application, we still need your household to fill out the Education Benefits Form that will be supplied by your child’s building. This is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs. Every Form Counts!

Meyer Family Back-to-School Update: Teacher assignments will be sent to families by mail today, August 14. Families and students in Grades K-4 are invited to attend the Meyer Open House on Tuesday, 8/22, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Our first day of school is Monday, August 28. We are excited to welcome all of our students back to school and look forward to a year filled with fun and learning!

Pioneer Families, we're working hard behind the scenes getting ready for the start of the 2023-24 school year! Our Transportation Department does a GREAT job getting students to and from school safely each day. Here are some fun facts you might not have known about our fantastic Transportation Department!

Open Houses are Nearly Here!
Tuesday, August 22:
4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Frostick/Geiger/Meyer Open Houses
5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Middle School/High School/Pioneer High School Open Houses

Meyer Miler Assembly! Our Meyer kiddos worked hard these last several weeks running/walking laps on our track. Each lap was recorded on an iPad into an app. Eight laps on our track equals one mile. Students could earn toe tickets, shoelaces, water bottles, Gatorade, and t-shirts. Kindergarteners needed 18 miles to earn a t-shirt which is the top prize. 1st-4th grades needed 24 miles for the top prize. All grades combined, accomplished 7,985 miles!!! This is the most miles our Meyer students have ever done! 💙

Each year PE teacher Mr. Bongard, conducts physical fitness testing at the beginning and end of the school year. 3rd and 4th graders are eligible to earn either National or Presidential Fitness Awards. Presidential is the highest and hardest to earn. Congratulations to this year’s group of fitness rock stars! 💙
